Summary

The Hybrid 3 offers you all the benefits of Memory Foam, such as the moulding and comfort but with reduced heat. It is also more responsive so when you roll over the bed will return to its original shape much quicker than traditional Memory Foam. Making that Memory Foam feeling that much better. This would ideally suit a 12-16s stone sleeper who prefers the firmer feeling.

The Hybrid 3 Coolblue Medium is a medium/firm Hybrid foam mattress made of innovative Coolblue advanced Memory foam. The Hybrid 3 is a deep mattress at 27cm overall depth.

The Hybrid 3 combines a Coolblue comfort layer on top of supportive Relfex Foam. Coolblue is one of our Hybrid Foams that is less heat retentive than Memory Foam. It has lower visco-elastic properties meaning it doesn’t need as much heat to mould and shape to your body. This means it does not retain as much heat and keeps the sleeper cooler throughout the night. It is also provides better breathability. Coolblue is one of our denser foams giving a firmer feel, this provides more support but without the heat of Memory Foam.

It is suited to those who prefer a medium to firm feel who are 12-16 stone in weight.

The nearest comparison to this mattress would be the igel Apollo [Dec 2013 KS £1299]. Bensons igel claims to intelligently distribute heat to you during the night. Our Coolblue Hybrid Foam has a lower visco-elastic threshold meaning it doesn’t require as much heat to mould. This makes it less heat retentive compared to Memory Foam. Without the composition of igel we can’t fully compare but we are unsure how a gel ‘Intelligently’ regulates your heat.
