The Hybrid 5 Memtech Coolblue Medium Firm is a multi-layer mattress. It combines the benefits of Memory Foam, Coolblue Hybrid foam, Laygel Hybrid Foam and Reflex Foam to give you the support of Memory Foam but with the bounce of a sprung mattress. The Coolblue top layer allows you to sink into the mattress without heat retention before being gently supported by the additional 3 layers of foams. Ideal for people who are 10-16 stone who want a firmer progressive mattress.

Please note: Our depths are of the foam only and don’t include the covers. The cover can add 1cm-2cm to the depth along with the quilted undulations. We advise you double check once the mattress arrives before purchasing any specific depth fitted sheets. We don’t include the cover as we find it misleading to quote the cover as part of the foam.

The Hybrid 5 combines a triple layer mattress construction method to provide a medium firm supportive mattress with deep progressive comfort. The core mattress combines a Memory Foam top layer, supported by a responsive Laygel layer and then a supportive Relfex layer. This is a medium firm mattress providing firm support and comfort layers.

This is then complimented with a Coolblue deep topper to provide a heat dispersing top comfort layer before the sleeper sinks into the firmer progressive layers. The Laygel center gives the mattress added bounce to simulate a spring unit. This mattress gives you the best of Memory Foam for its mouldable qualities and Laygel for its light responsive nature.

This mattress is ideal for a 10-14 stone sleeper at a firm tension and for a 14-18 stone sleeper at a medium tension

– 21cm Core Mattress made up of 6cm of heat reactive 40kg density Memory Foam on 5cm of gel infused 60kg density Laygel both of which sit on 10cm base of supportive Reflex Foam. NB – Sometimes the laygel layer of the mattress is a peach colour, this is exactly the same foam but sometimes for the core we use either the dark blue laygel or peach laygel it depends on the supply in our factory. The only difference is the colour.

Comparisons:

The nearest comparison to this mattress would be the Tempur Sensation [Nov 2013 KS £1599] for its three layers but our Hybrid uses laygel which Tempur dont. The sensation is also only 21cm in depth where as the Hybrid 5 is 28.5cm offering you deeper layers.

Other gel style foam products such as igel Atalanta from Bensons [Dec 2013 KS £1499] provides 31cm of depth, but again gives you no information around the foam, density or hardness. Our Hybrid 5 provides a total of 4 layers of Hybrid foams with the exact density provided for each.

Our mattress really does stand alone in comparisons. One main difference with our range is that they all come with removable deep toppers, giving you more mattress and comfort for your money. This is a 28.5cm deep mattress providing a number of deep comfort layers.
