The Fusion 4 100% Natural Latex firm is a solid core premium Latex mattress in a firm tension. The solid dunlop Latex core provides a breathable and responsive mattress with all the benefits provided by premium 100% Natural Latex foam. Giving the sleeper a thick core mattress of Latex as its comfort layer allowing you to sink slowly into the bed until the Latex naturally supports you.
This mattress is naturally hypo-allergenic and allergen free. It uses a 80kg density 100% Natural Latex . Making it a firm tension ideal for the heavier sleeper or sleeper that wants a firm yet forgiving mattress.

The dunlop Latex topper is 5cm. Comprising of 3cm of 100% Natural 70kg density Latex with 1cm of Graphite Latex for FR regulations on either side. The topper can be turned and rotated.
The dunlop Latex core is 18cm. Comprising of 16cm of 100% Natural 80kg density Latex with 1cm of Graphite Latex for FR regulations on either side. The core can be fully turned and rotated.
This mattress is suitable for 13-16 stone sleepers wanting a firm tension, above this and the latex will move to a medium tension.
This is one of the only solid core Latex mattresses in the UK Market.
Comparisons:
The comparitor to this model would be the firmness of the Dunlopillo Pegasus [Nov 13 KS £1799] but with the construction method of the Dunlopillo Sirius [Nov 13 KS £1799].
Both these Dunlopillo models contain 100% Dunlopillo Latex, the issue is that term doesn’t tell you the blend of Latex, whether it be 100% Natural or 100% Synthetic making it impossible to truly compare. Our mattress is 100% Natural Latex in a firm 80kg density. Our mattress is fully turnable, so you can use both sides whereas the Dunlopillo models are both one side only.

I bought a Fusion 4 100% Natural Latex Firm King size to replace a Dunlopillo Connisseur we bought from John Lewis about 12 years ago. I had problems finding suppliers of latex mattresses and had heard Dunlopillo quality had deteriorated (John Lewis no longer sell them – or any other latex mattress!). I found the John Ryan website and having read the info and talking to them I ordered the mattress. It was delivered with a zip broken on the topper cover but this was swiftly replaced by John Ryan Contemporary. I have to say the mattress is a revelation – so comfortable and I am so glad I didn’t buy another Dunlopillo which would have been £600 more expensive and without the wonderful topper. i love firm latex mattresses (great for us asthmatics!) and I think I have bought a brilliant one!

Where to start? Warning: gushing review ahead!
On the mattress: heavenly! I had developed a lower back ache which I believe was the result of sleeping on multiple old mattresses. After speaking to Lee about memory foam vs latex vs pocket sprung, I settled on this model. After a week or so, my back pain disappeared, and after switching to a cooler duvet, I’m now sleeping like a baby.
On the company: great communication and service from start to finish. Lee replied to my queries while he on holiday! Totally blew me away.
The fact that they were happy to collect the mattress if I was not happy gave me a great level of reassurance of ordering a mattress over the Internet.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. Thanks Lee!
