Is This Suitable For Me?

The Hybrid 1 Laygel Soft incorporates an innovative foam equivalent to synthetic Latex. This provides a soft responsive feel to the mattress and provides rapid response rates when compared to traditional Memory foam. Laygel then provides support giving a soft feel to the sleeper. The Hybrid Laygel 1 Soft allows an immediate ‘sink’ into the comfort layers of the mattress whilst still providing support for the sleeper. The Laygel foam is not visco-elastic, it doesn’t require heat to respond, so doesn’t store heat like Memory foam. Also the response rates and breathability of Laygel provide a synthetic Latex like feel. This mattress would be ideal for the 8-14 stone sleeper who likes that Softfeel to their bed without sinking all the way into it.

– 20cm Core Mattress made up of 7cm of gel infused 60kg density Laygel Foam on 13cm base of supportive Reflex Foam

Total Depth = 25cm

Please note: Our depths are of the foam only and don’t include the covers. The cover can add 1cm-2cm to the depth along with the quilted undulations. We advise you double check once the mattress arrives before purchasing any specific depth fitted sheets. We don’t include the cover as we find it misleading to quote the cover as part of the foam.

The Hybrid 1 Laygel Soft is our Soft Hybrid Foam mattress. It provides immediate cushioning followed by support allowing it to feel soft at first but supportive once the sleeper is positioned. Providing almost instant recovery to this mattress once the sleeper leaves the bed. There is virtually no transference of movement and this foam closely mimics synthetic Latex.

The Hybrid 1 uses a Laygel comfort layer on top of supportive Reflex Foam. Laygel is a synthetic Latex style foam, gel infused, which returns to its original shape almost immediately. It is also provides better breath-ability and less heat retention than Memory Foam. Laygel is not heat retentive, it is not visco-elastic, so is soft at room temperature providing you with more elasticity to the foam compared to Memory Foams.

This mattress is ideally suited to 8-14 stone sleeper in the soft tension.

The nearest comparison is Bensons Comfort Solution [Dec 2013 KS £1359] though the shortfall is that the Comfort Solutions is just standard Memory Foam rather than Hybrid Foam. Again you would need to know the exact density and depth of the Comfort Solution to accurately compare.
