Is This Suitable For Me?

The Hybrid 6 Pocket Laygel is a medium tension extra deep mattress. Its pocket sprung and Coolblue core allows a breathable but supportive base which a deep Laygel soft topper rests upon. This provides the benefits of both Hybrid Foams and traditional pocket spring techniques. Whilst the Hybrid Laygel and Coolblue foam allow the sleeper to sink into the mattress the pocket springs give a supportive push back to the sleeper.

This mattress provides a soft progressive comfort feel for those weighing 9-14 stone, weights 15 -18 stone will find the mattress extra soft. This is similar to that super deep soft hotel bed feel.

5cm of gel infused 60kg density Laygel Foam

Core Mattress

Top layer – 7cm of heat dispersing 70kg density Coolblue Foam
Base layer – 18cm supportive foam encased pocket sprung layer

Total Depth = 30cm

Please note: Our depths are of the foam only and don’t include the covers. The cover can add 1cm-2cm to the depth along with the quilted undulations. We advise you double check once the mattress arrives before purchasing any specific depth fitted sheets. We don’t include the cover as we find it misleading to quote the cover as part of the foam.

Springs

The Hybrid 6 Pocket Laygel Medium contains 1000 individual pocket springs encased in foam. This is based on a king size mattress. This provides a soft tension level of support for the sleeper, which is complimented by the two Hybrid Foams that provide the additional comfort layers above it. The type of springs used are medium gauge barrel springs.

Mattress Cover Type

This mattress comes with a 400gsm knitted quilted polyester cover. The cover can be removed and washed were required.

Summary

Whilst there are many cheaper Memory Foam pocket sprung combination mattresses on the market, there are very few high quality ones. Here we have designed a high grade pocket sprung base unit with a Hybrid Foam providing traditional construction with contemporary, the best of both worlds! The Hybrid 6 combines the benefits of a traditional pocket sprung mattress with the comfort levels of a foam mattress. The best of both worlds. The core mattress features a 1000 pocket sprung base which is foam encased. This is then topped with a generous layer of Coolblue heat dispersing foam. On top of this is then a deep gel infused Laygel topper to provide a soft comfort layer to the mattress.

The construction method of this mattress and materials provides a springy extra soft level of firmness.

This mattress provides a soft to medium progressive comfort feel for those weighing 9-14 stone, weights 15 -18 stone will find the mattress soft. This mattress offers a bouncy comfort layer for those liking a soft bed that return to its original shape very quickly, suitable for those sleepers than turn and move a lot during the night. It is similar to a soft but supportive hotel bed feel with a medium support unit underneath the extra deep comfort layers.

This mattress comprises of:

– 5cm of gel infused 60kg density Laygel foam topper

– 25cm Core Mattress made up of 7cm of heat dispersing 70kg density Coolblue foam on 18cm of foam encased individual pocket springs.

Comparisons:

The nearest comparison to this mattress would be mattresses like the new Sealy Hybrid range, but these have yet to go on sale. We will provide a comparison once they are available to the public.

Another comparitor by ‘feel’ would be the Octospring Mistral [Dec 2013 KS £1699]. The difference is our Hybrid uses traditional pocket springs not foam springs and the Hybrid has much deeper layers of foams, 12.5cm of Coolblue and Laygel Foam in total. Ours is one of the deepest mattresses available in this style and really does blend the benefits of each of our foams with a supportive pocket spring unit. The Mistral is 22cm in depth whereas the Hybrid 5 is 30cm.

FYI. Info update. As I’m shopping for beds due to a house move. I’ve been shopping around and wanted to say the Sealy Hybred is now on the market. I saw it at john lewis.
